Esther Rosenfeld, Esq. has extensive experience litigating and settling complex family law case issues both in and out of the courtroom. She has been practicing exclusively family law since 2001, having previously worked as a public defender. Ms. Rosenfeld handles all aspects of divorce cases, including child custody and timeshare, relocation cases, property settlement, child and spousal support, and the preparation of premarital agreements.

Ms. Rosenfeld is a trained mediator, and also provides services as a consulting attorney to parties working with another mediator. Additionally, she is trained in Collaborative Law.

Ms. Rosenfeld’s philosophy is that most divorce cases can and should be resolved by negotiated settlement, so that the parties can complete the process as swiftly as possible, with dignity intact, and move on with their lives. She works with her clients to develop an approach and strategy that suits each individual client.

Ms. Rosenfeld is fluent in Hebrew. She is rated "AV Preeminent" by Martindale-Hubbell, was voted "SuperLawyer" and "Top Women Attorneys of Northern California" by California SuperLawyers magazine, "America's Most Honored Lawyers" by the American Registry and "Top Lawyers in California" by American Lawyer Media. She is a past chair of the Family Law section of the San Mateo County Bar Association,

Ms. Rosenfeld is a contributing author to the CEB (Continuing Education of the Bar) “Family Law Financial Discovery” practice guide and their “Child and Spousal Support” practice guide. She co-authored an article following a research study on high-conflict personalities in family law, published in the Summer 2020 issue of Family Law Quarterly

She was a frequent speaker on family law issues for KALW's "Your Legal Rights with Chuck Finney," and has been interviewed by internet-based radio programs "Business Leaders Spotlight" and "Career Up Now."
